Sculpture No. 623 _Witness (2018)
Metal sculpture made with a pipe cutter, valve stop, and supporting found pieces painted with red enamel for the lead and color. The sculpture reflects on Michelle’s travels and inquiry into indigenous peoples and or tribes works in conjunction with Kachina Jewelry. This work is the gateway to my research in Canada’s Tar Plains and the water crisis in the Midwest. I am in hopes of carrying the project much further.
