Advisor meeting 11/15/16
I realized night before last that the piece I wrote in response to Michaels question was not separate from self- being the process.
I knew before I was in skype session with Lisa that Michaels intention for the question was not as he had hoped- being I gave a very personal account of how I create emotion in work or why. I can honestly say I know my work is not separate from self until it is finished, at which point I have completed the rhythmic dialog between material, self, space, color- but this is not the line in which he would like me to explore. Sorry But – in this instance I believe this piece of written reflection needed to happen in order to move forward in understanding my-self process. I think the words became a euphony smoothing and guiding into subjugating the work and delineating the self. Only time will tell.
To: Michael I will be glad to re- write as I think it’s was a wonderful exercise! Although its not what you expected- it served me pushing word emotion over the edge- very deep well of why.
I am away the rest of the week ( I hear Agnes Martin Calling – Yay ! )
so – if need be; I will run at it again – creating another word shot in the near future.
