Michelle Vara & Vici Stewart put together the Children’s Globe Project called “A Trip Through Art”
This community window art project will be displayed at the TI Arts Gallery in downtown Ticonderoga NY. We already have confirmation from Ticonderoga Central School, Crown Point Central School, and St. Mary’s.
The project is called “A Trip Trough Art” and will fill the windows of the gallery starting April first and hang through September. We- Michelle Vara (Ballard Road Art Gallery in Wilton NY) & Vicki Stewart will supply small 3.5″ clear Globes for 9th-12 graders to create with for free.
The participants will create small environments (nothing Alive like plants or fish, because the windows get too hot and the responsibility to maintain is too large, but anything artificial is ok.)
The participants may choose, any subject, all material – No limit -No Restraint of their Imagination!
The Finished pieces Must be ready to hang by February 18th, 2022.
The globes have a number on them and Must be accompanied with a piece of paper which states the number, students name, school which they attend, and if they choose to write something/ poem/ description/ story/ anything- Short, about or to coincide with their piece. We will be organizing this information for gallery visitors to enjoy.
Please feel free to contact Michelle with questions or to pick up a globe – 518-587-8706
