Sculpture No. 72_ Gordon the Guide (2011)
12’ tall 15’ long and 5’ wide made with re-thought metal, colored in the translucent paint and finished with clear.
Commissioned for Blue Mountain Lake Museum
The sculpture was designed and made especially for the Blue Mountain Lake Museum now known as the Adirondack Explorer. The sculpture was made to capture Adirondack history and the relationship between the wilderness and a guide’s life. The Guide boat’s important characteristics are highlighted as are the Guide, Gordon’s.
