This month is coming from Berlin Germany-
The weather was rainy gray and cool but that’s ok by me!
-GETTING UP TO SPEED-
The place in which I stayed LoBe Gallery. Was rented for the temporarily home of the International Experimental Art Space (IEAS) Schererstraße 7, Wedding, Berlin 13347, Germany
The Gallery is located across the street from what is called a Squat.
A squat is a building or Persons who live together -struggle to opt out of the capitalist system, squatters, and collectives in Berlin offer services, creating a parallel economy. In a communal type persona.
I have been told it is the last of its type in Berlin. It is very interesting as it is a tourist draw and I have seen people from all over come to check it out. I myself have not yet had the chance but there’s still time. Further Info Click here
The International Experimental Art Space was a real success we had vegan opening dinner and close dinner for TransArt participants. The Closing dinner was made by Sabri and his wife Anna a real Milashian dinner. YUM- Supper dupper fun and a nice way for the last Hurrah of TI! Two collector dinners, in which I got the opportunity to really enjoy cooking as if I were home so thank you for coming and the good conversation.
Curators, collectors visited the space from many different places, it was also open to the public by chance or appointment.
I can’t begin to tell the interesting events that occurred through language barriers and oddities.
All in all 3 pieces sold one lecture was acquired and hopefully 2 other strong possibilities of interest will flourish. New friends were made and strengthened our artist comradery within a small group.
I was told by the participants’ everyone had fun!
Residency Started off with “The Role of Chance” with Michael Bowdidge
This workshop was outstanding not that any were less than but being it directly applies to my practice I shook up a few things and worked with Asher enjoying the newness and outcomes.
In theses drawings we hooked arms and closed our eyes for chance to have its way with the project. We next made a rust colorant and dipped a string with which we took turns throwing and making contact marks.
Then we cut into strips and reassembled via dropping throwing eye closed etc.
Outcome went on to have very sculpture like properties. Thanks Asher it was Interesting and very nice to work with you!
Next was-“Wanderings, Musings and the Art of Getting Lost” with Jean Marie Casbarian.
Another person who really puts her heart into education, I learned a lot and work with performers which were a new take on the world for me. It was very invigorating and I haven’t yet plowed through the video editing and organizing. Thanks, Clair and Andrea it was interesting and I think we did some good work.
SESSION THREE- “Resistance: Defying the Self” with Elena Marchevska
Elaina’s class was not only engaging it was interesting the twists and turns that socially occurred and how as a supervisor she handled the resistance. She really has a great understanding and exposed many sides to a complicated subject in which she comunicates and enngages very well.
The Sunday before Elena’s class I threw my back out – NOT REMOTELY GOOD! The extreme pain left me stuck in bed in Berlin! Yee HA!- I had some wonderful surprises assisting me through with flowers, meds, wash, food, etc. – Deb, Olivia, and Margret Thank you all from the bottom of my heart I couldn’t have made it through without you!
Through this horrible event, I met an outstanding and smart lady who owns ZEN SHIATSU Christina Stuckert, Bergmannstrabe 59, Berlin Germany. I just can’t get over how my pain is changing through her practice. Her space is amazing there’s an artist showing in the courtyard that says it all!
I felt, shared and learned a lot about EMPATHY it’s a complicated word in action. I felt SO overwhelmed with pain and again I’m in big appreciation and thanks to everyone who was kind and understanding!
And the rest of IT- Fuck- YA -You don’t know the half of it!- Kid Rock
–SO NOW ON TO THE WORK OF THE MONTH–
I rented a Scooter- as I always do, but this time, I took passenger Deborah along. She had never been riding so it was a hoot and I created through this experience.
Every Morning we mounted our steed and here’s the creed-
Release your legs Sit up Don’t wiggle Release your grip Don’t throw your weight Wait to get on Get on the left Spread your legs Sit on your pussy lips Open your legs Turn it on Sit up Open your knees Wait for me It’s the best vibrator Makes me Wanna Pee Not that side Don’t take the bumps Sit on your lips Open your legs Are you ready Your knees are gripping my ass Use my bra strap Your books are digging in my ass Turn it on Read to me Right – Left No wiggling Ahhh dog piss Wait Get on The left No wiggling Wait Wait Don’t Wiggle I’m adjusting Not ready Ready Fuck I got this No I’m stuck I gotta move up Move back Wait Too bumpy Fuck I gotta pee.

Photographs are the follow up on creative thoughts of the 4th dimension, currently pursued through the writing of Duchamp.
There’s tons more as Berlin really lends its self to this investigation and conversation, But I’ve been at this 2 days and my backs tired so I’m going to push through and not offer detail.
