As this personally difficult year of 2021 fades slowly into memory.
I think to the tree- enduring the cylindrical seasons.
The rain, the wind, the dark, a journey of life in hope reaching for the warm sunshine in the harmony of nature’s song, sung to new possibilities and happiness that babbles along a brook flowing with life.
Tree Branches sway in the breeze of a storm, against a sky that continually changes, in color and temperature. This reminds me that elasticity is part of recovery from any storm, as we shed what is old and outgrown not by choice but by the force of nature.
The tree stands firm, rooted in resilience to the brutality of truth- casting off sorrow, like rain shed down the tree’s bark, watering the ground for new life, new growth, new possibilities.
The storms have clarified- revealed, true friends and real things to care about.
A hard-lived year completed by a well-earned growth ring to show. A ring marring the triumph over pain and despair as a passage of time and now a memory.
I Look forward to the new seasons- to spring. New sprouts- acquaintances, works of art, becoming the leaves in the beautiful cycle of life, As I ponder what’s next.
Thank you and great appreciation to everyone who has journeyed last year’s storm and still stands with me- Happy New Year, wishing joy and health the whole year long!
