The Studio’s reawakening from a slumber to the Porch Party presenting visual artist miChelle Vara where we will share live music, hors d’oeuvres, kids’ activities and the solo art show.
About the visual artist-
Vara has been expanding her creative focus through automatist practices of meditation, working in the vein of the psychology of reflex action. Vara’s new work forms a practice of tactile dimension using common object as vessel for memory. The vessels energy creates new contextual experience or stimulates memory. Vara has chosen the automobile hubcap to work through which has led on an explosive and exciting creative journey, building dialog’s in sculpture, performance, canvas paintings and photography. The canvases sensual and poetic images created with tar as paint and hubcap as bush convey movement into the passionate unconscious and allow the viewer a personal experience. The installation is deliberate because Vara wants the viewer to free themselves from the weight of societal drudgery creating a personal experience memory space.

Greenfield’s Performing & Visual Arts Center: 165 Wilton Road, Greenfield Center, New York.
Represents an important chapter in the cultural life of Saratoga County. Our community has so many creative perspectives to expand on and grow with, and here’s the place that provides the space to expand the human spirit. A place for exploration of music, art and movement in a safe, intimate and nurturing atmosphere. Together we expand individual and the planet’s well being with classes, performances and exhibits, in which you will find interactive camaraderie shared through professional and aspiring, artists, musicians and performers. A place to present or test artistic practices.
We extend the space to experiment and learn, under the mentorship of experienced and skilled professionals. The space fosters friendships and human growth through experiences in the arts.
Whether frequent or first-time visitors to our building, we look forward to welcoming everyone to The Studio, which will provide an unparalleled opportunity to experience modern and contemporary art, music and movement through the lens of the historical founding father harpsichordist Robert Conant who formed the Foundation for Baroque Music as a nonprofit corporation in the state of New York, for the purpose of supporting early music concerts and educational programs. The Festival of Baroque Music was the Foundation’s annual production.
